Spring Market 2013

High Point hosted another successful Spring furniture market last month. Inspiration was everywhere! I want to start by introducing my favorite new vendor, Emporium Home. This beautifully eclectic and creative line is the brainchild of Ashley Childers. The product sells itself, but it certainly doesn't hurt that Ashley has an infectious personality and wonderful Arkansas accent. Flea Market Fridays

Time permitting, I like to browse some of Charlotte's "flea markets" on Fridays. Today I only made it to a few stops in the South End area. I did not see anything I just had to have, but there were certainly a few finds that could use a nice home. Rustic coat hooks great for a lake or mountain home... Sleepy Poet Horseshoe Hooks $28 Cute for or a kid's room... Post & Gray Set of Vintage Prints $75 Re-upholster (preferably not in aqua velvet with black welt) for the fireside, living room or den... I love acrylic because it can go modern or traditional....

Live from Los Angeles

Where to begin?! Holly and I landed at LAX yesterday morning and checked in to our hotel for a little sprucing. We then ventured out to West Hollywood for lunch at The Ivy. I am sure the paparazzi was thrilled to see us. Actually they were not there. I think there was something else going on in Hollywood that was keeping them busy. Just a hunch. After lunch we took a stroll down Robertson for some shopping before heading up the hill to Dawnridge.
