Made in the USA

I had the privilege of joining fellow designer, Holly Phillips, in Hickory a few weeks ago for HCC University. About ten times a year, the Hickory Chair Company invites designers and store owners from all over the country to tour their factory and learn more about the company and the furniture they make. Went spent two fun filled days there, and I left knowing that I could confidently stand behind any piece of Hickory Chair furniture that I sell.

The tour starts outside with stacks of NC grown lumber, then you wind your way through an immaculate factory with workers who cut, sand, chisel, turn, veneer, inlay, paint, stain, and upholster. The teamwork and ingenuity is impressive, to say the least.

Each end product is an heirloom piece made right here in North Carolina. Wether you order something standard or custom, know that it will pass through a long line of “loving hands” before it arrives in your home.
